Tires: Tire retailers will accept up to four used tires free of charge.

Propane Cylinders: These can be returned to some propane retailers or the Waste-Resource Management Centres.

Oversized Items: Materials that cannot fit inside bags (appliances, furniture, etc.) are only collected during special Fall/Spring Clean Ups. These items can also be taken to one of our two Management Centres any time of year.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW): HHW is accepted free of charge at the Management Centres during regular operating hours. There are depots on-site for the proper management of HHW. Also, your local ENVIRO-DEPOT™ will accept paint free of charge. Empty paint and aerosol cans are acceptable in regular garbage.

Sharps: Sharps (syringes, needles and lancets) can be harmful if they are not handled properly. They can hurt people collecting and handling garbage and recyclables. DO NOT throw used sharps in the garbage, in recycling bags or in plastic jugs and bottles!

SHARPS SHOULD ONLY BE PLACED

You can pick up a sharps container at your pharmacy or CDA supply centre. Place used syringes, needles and lancets in the special container and when it’s almost full it can be returned to your pharmacy or CDA supply centre.
