Haulers List and C&D Sites

The Industrial, Commercial & Institutional (IC&I) sector includes businesses and organizations such as stores, manufacturers, offices, hospitals, and schools. If you operate within this sector, you are required to follow provincial waste-sorting regulations—just like homeowners and tenants.

Bylaw Requirement
Section 4.5 of the Valley Region Solid Waste–Resource Management Bylaw states: “Residual or unsorted solid waste generated within the Municipality cannot be taken outside the Valley Region.” This means all residual waste must be delivered to the Waste–Resource Management Centres in Kentville or Lawrencetown. Transporting waste outside the Region violates the Bylaw.

• Flow Control ensures all haulers pay the same disposal fees.
• It also allows Valley Waste to give businesses feedback to improve their sorting practices.
