Collection Updates

Collection updates will also be posted on our Home Page under Collection Updates. Decisions regarding collection are typically made early on the morning of the scheduled pickup.

Road and weather conditions can change quickly, and it is ultimately the driver’s discretion whether it is safe to travel a particular road. Waste collection trucks do not have four-wheel drive and must frequently stop and start during collection. If you are unsure of your road conditions, please bring your waste to the main road where it will be collected. If you are unsure of the location, please contact us.

During winter, roads may be icy or slippery, making it unsafe for drivers to stop, exit the truck, and handle carts. In spring, roads may become soft or muddy and may not be able to support heavier vehicles without creating ruts or causing trucks to become stuck.

Our contractor's priority is always the safety of their drivers and the protection of local roads. We appreciate your understanding when conditions prevent collection.
